As I sit at this coffee shop writing this, several things occur to me. I am in my element. I’m in an eclectic coffee shop in an even more eclectic neighborhood in Melbourne (St. Kilda, representtttt). I am reaching out to friends I’ve made online (yes, I call them “friends”) to see if they’d be interested in styling any Crafturday pieces or doing a rad photoshoot when I get back home to the states. In a couple of hours I am meeting a photographer at the pier during sunset and we are doing a fun little shoot. Her photography account is everything I emulate Crafturday pics after— genuine, interesting, of substance. Everything is easy and nothing is forced.

It got me thinking of the opposite of this— how it took me so long to get to this point and how I felt misaligned for so long. Cold emailing people, not sure how to make use of my time, wanting to get my product out there on anyone and everyone…being confused, and honestly, that’s how it is to start.

All is general before it is specific. It’s a culling out process that requires great time and effort and perseverance. But once you create alignment, and things seem to come to you with ease, it’s all worth it.

Wishing you lots of alignment so your natural gifts can flow.

xo,

Vanessa
